Once upon a time AC Delco filters were quite good. I seem to recall that they were made by Wix for a little while, at least for the Canadian market (this was about 20 years ago). And in the late 90s and into the first few years of the early 2000s one of the very best filters was the AC Delco Ultraguard Gold
There was also a really good AC Delco filter that I used to get for my 95 Trans Am. It was the PF35L IIRC and it was only a couple of bucks more than the regular version but used a better quality media.
