New ACDelco PF63?

I work at a GM dealer and we started getting these. Are they PGI? They sure look like it.

That filter screams "We need it NOW!". No label, wrong color, and the most basic of silk screen info.

Not yet. I’ll buy one next week, and cut it open. I installed this on the wife’s Yukon at work today.

American oil filters almost always, probably always, have a painted crimp seam area. GM has offices in Asia and Europe so maybe that’s where they get them from now.

Woah, are we going to be seeing well built ACDelco filters?? I never thought I would see the day, might be going back to OEM filters for the Blazer.

Any chance we could get a C&P of one? Or know where to buy one so I can do a C&P?

We also got the Acdelco pf63B which has louvers and looks like a modern Fram, or Mann-Hummel filter.

Well built like these? On the left is a PF1218 I just got. On the right is a PF35L like what I have been getting for years. The PF1218 had a thinner/cheaper base which is why I started buying Wix and other brands. Also, the 1218 is shorter than before.

Looks like this and other variants come wrapped on the bottom so was thinking probably Asian.. and here is this filter and then a variant with box showing China.
