My company makes a lot of parts for the Equinox built in Ingersoll Ontario.. I like the vehicle overall, the base 2.4 engine is both gutless and problematic (moreso in earlier years) I would be happy with a higher trim Nox with the V6.

Ah, forgot this thread still existed. I know a few people owned one of these Equinox's but strikingly, none of them keep them more than 3 years. Why? Idk. The Nox is a good veh for what it is. It has utility and its efficient, a good appliance. Its just surprising to me that GM hasnt put the 2.5 ecotec in it yet. That engine is super smooth and designed/built well.
i was smart enough not to buy a new model tundra when the redesighn came. i have a 03. dosnt the newest nox get the 2.5?
My mom bought a 2012 Nox new and still has it. Runs great at around 47K miles on it. She doesn't drive it around as only some local grocery getter. She occasionally takes extended road trips cross country to go see various relatives from Florida to Arizona to Colorado and Idaho. Not a single mechanical issue to date. She has all the maintenance done at here dealer, which by doing so, has the Warranty Forever plan they gave her when she bought the car. Don't see her getting rid of it anytime soon.

I'm irritated that my Cruze has a known bum part on it that GM's extended the warranty on for a fairly long time and is going to fix for free under that warranty if it breaks again. Oh wait, I'm not at all irritated that they're stepping up to the plate for this.
