This, GM more so than other manufacturers will give an extremely long extended warranty on inferior parts. I just had a fuel pump replaced under such extended warranty. Warranty was for as long as i owned the car! No mileage/timeframe. There are a lot of hidden "customer satisfaction" programs thru GM

I hope this isn't a bad sign. I helped my girlfriend pick a used 2013 Equinox last September. Only 29,000 miles, seemed to be in good shape. She just had to take it in to have the front doors repainted since the inside bottom edges had paint flaking away and they were showing some surface rust. Dealer repainted them under warranty.

Keeping an eye on the oil, so far it doesn't seem to be using any noticeable amount.

Check the fluid levels and do the scheduled maintenance and it should be fine. You normally hear from those that have issues. While the ones with no problems go upon their merry way without saying much.

i was asked to give new jeep updates in case it proved unreliable. you jack wads can find your entertainment some where else

The equinox has rust problem. Its documented with TSB's and many people have had the rear liftgate repainted as well.

My understanding that its not a paint problem, but more of a design problem of body panels causing wear issues to the paint, then ultimately the paint wears down and rust forms.

coworker's 2012 malibu ltz v6 needs a new power steering pump and all 4 rotors at only 55k miles.
