Hey Pablo,

Didn't I warn you about MySpace about 6-8 months ago?

IIRC, you didn't really want to take my advice.

As a parent who has raised two kids successfully, I will respectfully disagree. A cell phone provides a link to the parent/child to insure that things are well. You can't put a price on that. I agree that the kid doesn't need to walk around with it in KMart talking on it.

And as for computers, my son is a computer engineer and it is a direct result of him having access to a computer most of the time.

The key is monitor and control. And some kids fill find a way to get into trouble no matter what you do. Child rearing comes with no guarantees of success. The best parents can raise 2 future jailbirds. Seen it first hand.

Too much control I don't think will always produce the exxpected results.

I had a co-worker say that kids should never be allowed to use calculators when I told him mine were using them in 6 th grade (20 yeqars ago). I told him that his kids would be working for mine.

Well said Al (less the typos

One thing (respectfully as possible): It's hard to take advice on fruit tree ranching from someone that has never raised fruit trees.
