Got myself a 1991 Eagle talon tsi AWD turbo. Here's the info.

Rebuilt engine with 30,000km on it
Race cams
Forged pistons
Removed balance shaft
Cold air intake
.
Previously ran on 10w40 conventional .. yikes

I will be using auto-rx in hope to clean up piston rings and turbo. So far ive thought of..
Mobil 0w40
Amsoil 5w40
Redline 10w40-10w30
PP 5,10w30

Roller cams?

looks like you picked some winners there,i would think any of them oil's would do the job for sure and take the heat from that turbo,do stick with a synthetic yes.

a HDEO like RTS 5w40 would work too. what was stock spec??

Stock 10w30-40 I believe. It runs real hot. Im leaning towards Mobil or Amsoil..

Hm, i'll have to try them out. See how they perform, and stop being lazy with oil analysis.

Go with the Amsoil.

You could also run Mobil 1 15W50 silver cap in that Eagle. Man those were some seriously awesome cars in their day. I never see them anymore.

Yes for sure, well built oil can take the heat no problem.

15w50? sure the talon could handle it? and the motor and tranny both rebuilt with only 30,000km on them, the car itself is sweet. I'll post some pics later on.

I have some plans for it..
-front mount intercooler.
-new turbo, its the original
-security system..
