My new GTR has a nice NAV system. I was hoping to find a better for me voice option like I had on my cheap GARMIN. I can't seem to find a setting to change the voice. I can change the volume. I hope I explained this so someone understands me. Ed
You just need to reprogram her.I'm waiting for the day when it can be made into my wife's voice. "Turn right here--no, wait, I meant left! Now great, you just missed the turn."

one of the aftermarket nav brands used to have a piece of software that let you record/build your own voice...my buddy had one of them, and getting sick of the available options (he was delivering pizzas at the time, avg 100 mi daily in the city) was thinking of recording either his boyfriend, or their cats.I'm waiting for the day when it can be made into my wife's voice. Did you get a new Nissan GT-R Skyline? What is a GTR?My new GTR has a nice NAV system. I was hoping to find a better for me voice option like I had on my cheap GARMIN. I can't seem to find a setting to change the voice. I can change the volume. I hope I explained this so someone understands me. Ed
Car based GPS can't compete with live updates from Google or Apple.Load Waves app and pick one or 10 voices on your smartphone and use Apple CarPlay or Android auto.
MAZDA Grand Touring Reserve = GTR
Haha, you say "GTR" to car folks and most are thinking "Nissan GT-R" !!MAZDA Grand Touring Reserve = GTR

Yeap, car-based GPS will be a thing of the past very soon, IMO.Car based GPS can't compete with live updates from Google or Apple.
Well... you'd be able to change your nav voice.OMG, Everone will need to purchase a $500 to $1,200 smart phone to run a vehicle NAV system? Ed
you can also get into the settings menu and turn the NAV voice all the way down if you don't want it.
Enough people already have them that the automakers can consider it a more feasible option. Google and Apple are continually making updates to Android Auto and Apple Carplay to go along with this direction too.OMG, Everone will need to purchase a $500 to $1,200 smart phone to run a vehicle NAV system?
