Here is a quick and ugly cut of a Napa Pro select by m+h made in mexico. Any damage seen is from me cutting.

I would avoid this filter completely

Can and base plate construction was solid. Had some rust in center tube that I don't think got pictured. First time I came across one of these exact filters I had to toss it due to so much rust. Some tube louvers were not open.

Filter media had wide pleats and really thin filter media, tore extremely easy. I was very surprised - have seen and felt construction paper thicker and more tear resistant.. the media very easily came off the end cap with just a light push. I have no doubt this filter would have torn in use.

To be fair this seems like a typical jobber filter that no one outside of BITOG’s would know it might tear let alone even question using it. I believe this is the lowest quality filter Napa provides and still has metal end caps…

Just my $0.02

Probably true, but the media attachment to the end caps was exceptionally easy to remove from any glue it was shocking... Very flimsy. Just not a good filter 👎
