As previously mentioned, the prior OCI's yielded similar results with the waving in the filter media. I just shipped my UOA sample this past Friday. Unfortunately the lab I use doesn't include insolubles, though I believe they offer it at an extra cost. So I'm thinking of sending a portion of the same sample to Blackstone or some other lab - strictly for the insolubles, so I have an indicator to work from aside from the visual or just paying the 'extra'.
As for the O-ring, it's pretty snug on the cap (I always changed it when I did the drain and watched any of the QL shop techs to make sure they did too). Didn't really examine the o-ring that was on the filter itself. The fit isn't super tight when you click the filter into the cap. Seems there's a bit of play there always.
