I parked at my local Redmond NAPA where I stock up on clamps for SBP, and I was buying a battery for my generator. I walk out and my wagon hatch window is completely obliterated, like a bomb went off inside, glass everywhere....and no one around, so I quickly figured it wasn't a prowl, but then I get angry that some trucker would do that and scram. But right then a guy walks up and points to his truck with a big vise on the back. Yep.

Dented the sheet metal too. Man what a hassle. Insurance adjuster should come to my work Monday AM.....arrgh....they said they would get me a rental........

Be thankful the guy waited for you. That rarely happens where I live.

My girlfriend was backed into in a parking lot. Lady admitted fault and we got a police report. Lady then denied fault to her insurance and they refused the claim. We even called her and she was so overwhelmed that she "doesn't remember" what happened. $900 in damage.

Glad he stayed around.
And yes, tempered glass goes everywhere. The rear window in my Dodge wagon froze the first week I had it back in 75. Glass everywhere for years.
Also have tempered glass here in my house. One door has shattered twice. Glass easily travels 20 feet when unobstructed.

When I had my volvo (1974), a Tractor Trailer backed over the rear fender and trunk in a McDonald's parking lot.

Hear, hear! Too many people these days lack the integrity or backbone to admit to their accidents (or any mistake for that matter).

Hey, the guy probably heard it was PABLO'S CAR! He wouldn't want trouble from a guy with 45k posts now, would he?

Good thing the guy stayed, very rare in today's world. My R car got surprise rear entry from an undocumented, uninsured, unlicensed driver about a year and a half ago. Only damage are 2 dimples on the rear bumper. Once I cooled down and realized it wasn't that bad, we just shook hands and each signed off on the police report that we were dropping it and went our ways.

The other counter person at my work was on her lunch break when she saw an accident happen. An elderly driver love tapped a truck at a gas station. The truck driver was making a huge deal about it, and the elderly lady was almost in tears. He kept saying he was going to call the police, our counter person said she would stay and tell the police the truth, that all the damage done to his car was a bent license plate. All the damage to his bumper was there already.

How many miles are on that car now? There are still a few good people left out there.

And there is the problem in this country. Deportation should have been at the end of your sentence.

Pablo, I really hope for the best. A 160k older car is a prime target for a super-low bid and you never being made whole.

It's sad when you have a nice car that you have carefully maintained and the insurance company offers you 'beater' pricing.

Good luck, Pablo...

Immediate deportation.

Who else is sick of our country being overrun by felons that don't legally arrive in the USA?

It's been happening for multiple decades, and Rhinos started the legality in the 80s (gee, maybe that's why they won elections back then.

) . Does [censored] about it on a motor oil forum change anything??? Especially when the original post had nothing to do about your premise of illegals?

Glad that someone did the right thing and stayed around!

Glass goes everywhere when it shatters. My RR window got smashed so someone could steal my gym clothes and a 36 pack of toilet paper - I found glass pieces in the drivers' door cup holder.
