You're reading my mind.I think I'm going to seed micro clover. I'm over mowing.
Cry once on the cost of the seed, but a nice solution going forward.

I can see AM in the future. 32 with receding hair line In flower shorts using a simple push mower.
What do you want, a cookie???I love mowing. I usually cut my yard twice a week when I can. And I have a fee clients I mow for.![]()
What?? Yeah my hearing's shot.Neighbor got an electric lawnmower last year. So far he likes it. Wishes the battery went a little further than it does, but if he keeps up with it, it works well. I like it - quieter and less to listen to, and he likes it for the same reasons (sells PPE for a major manufacturer in the area - knows a thing or two about hearing loss...)
I never wear ear protection when mowing. My Honda is much quieter than the music I listen to!Have people been mowing their whole lives without ear protection? I throw in a set of earplugs when I’m using pretty well anything with a motor.
Longer than that. I remember we had one when I was a kid in the 1960's. I kept running over the extension cord with the mower!Plug-in electric mowers have been around a long time, at least the 1980s.
They make them for the pros too.Made for the homeowner not the commercial user.
Theyre still less of a hassle than a gas mower. The batteries should last at least 5 years and they are replacable. To me, that beats the hassle of having to keep gas around; not to mention the oil changes, spark plug changes, air filter changes, dealing with gummed up carbs, recoil ropes breaking and the noise.Until batteries are designed to last years and years I'm not interested in an electric mower. How long until a battery rebuild, will they even be available in 10 years? I'll stick with my Honda.

OMG! Isn't it against BITOG policy to complain about doing oil changes?Theyre still less of a hassle than a gas mower. The batteries should last at least 5 years and they are replacable. Theres is a reason why electric is taking over the OPE industry.
Hell! Going through some old pictures. This was me. 53 and I had a push mower for my little yard in LV.I can see AM in the future. 32 with receding hair line In flower shorts using a simple push mower.
Yep and unfortunately not for the better but yeah they are changing for sure. At least I’ll stay rich fixing it all lol.My advice to you, young fella, is to embrace change and keep up with modern times lest you become an old bitter man complaining about how things used to be. Technology is changing. Keep up with it.
You can't cut telomeres with a lawnmower but there are other ways.As @Leo99 correctly mentioned, learn to adapt or else you will become irrelevant in society. You have a long life ahead of you.
