I think we are saying the same thing. It hasn't happened to me. I have a wall and a gate and there's no parking allowed anywhere along my property where it faces the street. There isn't even a sidewalk on my side of the street.

That's abuse of the 911 system. He should just use the non emergency police number.
Agree. The vehicle was on the road, public property, but partially blocking both the travel lane and our driveway. Local police insisted we had to call the county's 911 for this. I don't get it either but that's what they wanted us to do.
Does you local police department have a phone number to call besides going through 911. If so, call them.
Why involve the police ? The OP said it's not bothering him much.
Maybe the neighbors are partying cause they found out the OP is leaving town for a week or so??

Only for emergencies. Everyone should have their local police main phone number favorited in their contacts. For this and anything not life threatening one calls that number and they route the call appropriately.
Calling 911 over a non emergency is pure ignorance. Don’t do it or thank you for not.
