My lifter clack is back.

I'd wait a little bit. I am late to your thread, but was going to suggest a chemical flush.. Seems I was on the right track. It'll take a fairly sturdy cleaner to free up a sticking lifter in short order. Others may do it after several hundred to a few thousand miles.

I'd also leave your 'mix' in for a bit, and give it a chance to do some cleaning - leave it for 500 miles, it's not going to do a 4.0 any harm.
