My favorite Porsche. Yours?

Do race cars count? I present you the Porsche 956. I had the good fortune of attending the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1983. Vern Schuppan, Hurley Haywood, and Al Holbert won in either the #3 or #5 Rothman's 956 in what I still believe is the closest ever finish.

The stories I have about that trip could be a book, starting with the ferry ride from the UK. It was an OMG weekend in several respects; ranging from Derek Bell hitting 246 mph on the Mulsanne Straight during the nighttime hours to the snake I saw in the carnival, which was used for something unimaginably demented and grotesque. 41 years later I'm still haunted by that. Trust me, you have absolutely no idea.

I always enjoyed the lines of the 968
But then I always kinda like the 924/944 and 928, this would be a reasonable conclusion

Same with the 928 GTS
A very emotional story from J.C about beating the clock to someone's death gives it much aura

My Pixar childhood also led me to the lines of the 996 Carrera 🤩

I doubt I'll ever be able to afford or even drive one
But I hear they're something else 🤔

When I was younger, I wanted a 944S2, but the one my Dad and I found needed enough work that it would have been foolish for a highschool car or even a college car. Still, I really think it was so far ahead of its time and a very neat car. Like a proto-S2000.

I assuaged my regretby stomping a mudhole in a Panamera 4S the other day in my Kia with buddy's girl in his car and he wouldn't even look at me when we came to a light.

I still wish I coulda afforded that 944S2 back in the day :/

I really liked the 928 back in the day. Got some fast laps in with the owner of this one last year at the track. Super impressive and super loud with the engine behind your head.

Not a Porsche, but this one takes this year's track day honors as my fastest ride:

And I have to agree with raaizin, it's the one you own. Having a great time with the new toy. I thought my old GTI was really good, but this tops it in every way:

We've got some friends here in town with a late 80s (87??) 944 that his son drives to university in Calgary. Looks like this one:
