Traveling south on interstate 280 around San Mateo wifey said, are they the same? She was referring to 2 smallish European cars, a white following a red. Small round taillights, pretty settled suspensions, looked lowered. As I got closer, I recognized them as a pair of early BMW 2002 coupes. The off-white car was a little more used, red car was pretty clean but definitely not a garage queen. Beautiful cars! Older cars are a labor of love and these owners drive and enjoy their BMWs.

Now the black 911 turbo I was messing with... I set the Dynamics to Insane, just in case...

The grill "kidneys" are flat-out tasteful as compared to some of the new cars... Just my opinion.

I bid on a 1975 on eBay thinking I would get outbid but I wound up winning it and it became my son’s first car. I added E21 Recaros with matching upholstery on the rear seat, new seat belts with rebuilt retractors and a AM/FM/CD/SXM audio system. I will definitely get another someday- hopefully a 1973 2002tii.

I've always loved this bmw model. Someone in my old town in mexico had a nice one and I loved seeing it. I don't know what it is about the rear on these that is just design perfection.

Mine, about to get its 'bucket list' Euro+ spec rebuilt engine. Bucket list in that one of my bucket list items is completely rebuilding a motor and I am doing that w/ a friend's help. 9.5:1 Mahle pistons, Shrick 292dg cam, 123 dizzy....

Don't forget a Delta Mark Ten B capacitive discharge ignition and a Bosch red coil!
