They’re just saving money by not sticking the dexos cert on the 5W20. No way could anyone taste test the dexos cert only could ask to see receipts

5w20 was available for Dexos1 gen 1, but was dropped with the requirements for Dexos1 gen 2

Very good chance fleet managers and local GM dealership bulk oils are very familiar with those oils you never heard of.

Those producers are likely local across the street from Regional dealer networks and motor pools with deals they can’t refuse
