Hard pass unless it's free. Sure wild game is good however I wouldn't pay much for it. I shoot pheasants but don't really like the meat that much but I do eat it when it's cooked really nice with the right enhancements.

I trapped a huge Gopher and gutted and skinned it and the meat looked good and gophers eat roots, didn't get to cook and eat the meat though.

We should use the digital age to its fullest.
A website to 'create' these fun labels should allow people to use the names of deceased pets and relatives.

Also, I don't think the OP's shot is of ground beef. It looks like whole oats, or something like Rice Crispies Treats, dyed red.
I bet these packages were for sale in a souvenir shop.

Squirrel and deer: not bad stuff at all.
Both carry very frequently prion diseases. There is no cure and the outcome is always fatal. I eat venison but I know where it's coming from. I wouldn't eat Jethro's deer he ran over on some backroad.

Yes, they do. I am MD. Back when I was hunting we didn't know what a prion is. Even when I went to medical school that was not discussed. CJ disease was not even discussed much: cause unknown. "Mad cow" is also a prion disease.

Until fairly recently I was ineligible to donate blood because I lived on and off in the UK during the '90s. The guidelines have changed. CJD has been on everyone's mind in the UK since the BSE outbreak in the late '80s. In the mid-90s BSE made it to the US. It's still here but very rare. Less than 200 newly infected people worldwide over the last 4 years, off the top of my head.
