Musk Overpaid

From the article the argument is that they didn't fully inform shareholders. If that is the case, then it seems reasonable its cancelled. Musk only owns 21% of Tesla, so reasonably at minimum 29% of other shareholders should have needed to agree to this.

Having said that, sure, its 10% of market cap. Without musk - market cap goes down far more than 10%. So perhaps shareholders should vote on a new deal.

I actually hope he leaves. Whether warranted or not I would bet the stock gets cut in half.

The investor answer: they are correctly valued.

Hype is pervasive in our society, and on Wall Street.

A great many things are ridiculously overvalued.
You can certainly make that case. I would. The market value may or may not be an accurate valuation of a company.
But the fact is, Tesla's market cap dwarfs any other car company.

My guess is, with the refreshed 3/Y, the SEMI and the upcoming Model 2, Tesla will continue to dominate from a market cap perspective.
Competitors are pulling back from their lofty goals due to the losses they have realized; conversely Tesla continues to build state of the art factories.
The Cybertruck is anyone's guess; maybe a lifestyle vehicle at best? Their energy BU will continue to grow; the Tesla Bot offers promise especially in manufacturing operations. Other companies are already incorporating the Giga Press and retiring hundreds of piece parts, welding robots, etc.

A key reason I believe in Tesla's future is their customer satisfaction numbers; those numbers are the envy of the industry. This is real and is a strong indicator of future purchases.

My other guess is, TSLA will remain a volatile investment. I will stick with my relatively small amount.
