It’s available from FCP Euro so it’s ultimately a low cost oil change.MOTUL is Mobil in French (j/k) so why not run M1 ESP?
I will say France sourced Dijon (Maille) is better than Canadian Dijon (Maille), but that doesn't apply here
8100 x-clean is a syn tech blend not a majority high group synthetic, I see no great benefit to the high expenditure.
Sounds good I’ll look into that oil.x-Clean+ 0W30 EFE is step up from this oil.
Of course. It is good oil. I have several 5l jugs on my shelf and will use it in my Tiguan 2.0T with 5k oci.Sounds good I’ll look into that oil.
With that being said, would the oil that I originally posted in this thread be good for 3,000 miles runs in a 2.0 turbo VW engine?
the link on the top from tech sheet says hths is 3.5 for new one as you say. other than that, i dont see any other difference between old version and new.Previous version was really good with HTHS of 3.6cP. Now it is just average. Current one not worth extra buck.
Previous had good amount of PAO, now it is Group III.the link on the top from tech sheet says hths is 3.5 for new one as you say. other than that, i dont see any other difference between old version and new.
is it bcs. of that small precentage on hths which make it worst or is it something else we dont know about it and you can inform us?
1) when you say previous, which year from -until version?Previous had good amount of PAO, now it is Group III.
Previus version had HTHS 3.6cP in pds, pour point -45 (i think).1) when you say previous, which year from -until version?
2) is this info from safety data sheet or speculation from kinematic viscosity and pow pour point like you always assume when an oil is more PAO? if the second then i cant remember when this oil had lower pour point than -36 and KV was always about 11.5 -12 not much of a difference.
i have been searching for revision date back to 2020 and it was still -36Previus version had HTHS 3.6cP in pds, pour point -45 (i think).
-36 is new, group III version.
When I have time I will try to find old pds, as my life doesn’t depend whether pour point is -36 or -45. Generally, I don’t remember stuff I post two years ago, but I bet you there is somewhere old pds.i have been searching for revision date back to 2020 and it was still -36

revision date 2022 also -36

so,2020 and here hasnt changed its recipy and pour point is the same.and you said in your analysis that is a good one.
also years back when new xcess gen 2 and xclean gen 2 came out around 2022 ,you made a presentation post about these oils where first you mentioned complimentary words about xclean+5-30 ,how good it is(recently used at that time by you)Here is the first UOA for Atlas.
Oil had 5,182mls. It was put in around 25,000mls on the clock and replaced at 30,582mls.
This batch was a road trip batch, 4,073mls. The car was loaded and had a Yakima bike rack with three bikes, a Yakima roof box. Of those 4,073mls, 3,000 approx. were open roads, around 1,000 city. After that, around 1,000 was mostly city driving. Oil temperatures were reaching 260f over some mountain passes.
As you can see, the report looks good. Oil is not AP or MB229.52 (it carries BMW LL04, VW 504.00/507.00, MB 229.51, and Porsche C30), but calcium is on the lower...

number 1st on the list, that is from 2020 same pour point back then
i know it sounds strange but all the good words you mentioned about this oil were with pour point -36
perhaps you confuse it with a xcess one? or xclean 5-40 one?
when someone asks for an oil if its good or not we have to be punctual to our words. When I have time I will try to find old pds, as my life doesn’t depend whether pour point is -36 or -45. Generally, I don’t remember stuff I post two years ago, but I bet you there is somewhere old pds.
I am trying to figure out importance of this?
I will find it bcs. I was using it for that reason.when someone asks for an oil if its good or not we have to be punctual to our words.
i am not saying you are not ,just curious for the year ,maybe you got mixed up or something.
its the oil i use after your suggestion years back with that pour point ,so yes it means to me hear the right explanation why you changed your mind.its the price you pay for being a celebrity!
I think I confused X-Clean+ 5W30 with 5W40. Old X-Clean 5W40 had HTHS 3.6 (new one is 3.9).when someone asks for an oil if its good or not we have to be punctual to our words.

thank you for taking time to clear this out for me.i appreciate it.I think I confused X-Clean+ 5W30 with 5W40. Old X-Clean 5W40 had HTHS 3.6 (new one is 3.9).
