motor oil shortage ?

i have read of a motor oil shortage , but was at Costco today i saw a full pallet of 0/20 5/30 in stock . Same price as usual . so is there a real shortage?

I was at a Wally World in SE Michigan last week and the shelves were mostly full. There were a few bare spots on the shelves, but the store was well-stocked overall.

amsoil raised prices, mobil 1 has raised prices at least at the parts store level. autozone got rid of their normal bundle discount. motul's prices have been raised significantly.

haven't looked at other places, but it's starting to hit. so far the average consumer probably doesn't need to worry, change your oil now and you'll only be affected by the second-order inflation effects.

The stock you're seeing was blended and packaged before the base oil supply dropped. That pallet may be the last they get for a while.

The cost of group III base oil has increased +254% since February.
