Last time I looked the Autolab stuff was SJ rated.
So maybe it's full of zinc!

Back to your original question Benny, based on my used oil analysis of Motomaster F1 Synthetic versus others I have had used oil analysis done on, I would say that the Motomaster synthetic is probably a little light in the additive dept. ...

I work for Shell and was told by a manager that the stuff in the red jug is Shell's basic dino, the silver jug is Shell's synthetic blend (and it says on the jug that it contains synth), and the gold jug Shell synth.
Yes they are good oils.

I remember looking at your Motomaster synthetic used oil analysis. IIRC, the TBN was low despite a relatively short drain interval of only 5000km/3k miles. When I thought about it, I was inclined to believe that the lab goofed on that somehow -- either botched the test, or mis-transcribed the TBN onto the used oil analysis report. I have a hard time believing a TBN would be trashed in any reasonable running engine after such a short interval, even if your engine is known to be somewhat hard on oils.
I would definitely like to see some more used oil analysis on the MM synthetic before I reached any conclusions.
