so i was at canadian tire this past weekend, they were just wrapping up a sale on all high mileage oils. i was just about to buy a jug of motomaster formula1 high mileage (they had 10w30 and 5w30). as i walked over to the cashier, i turned the bottle around to give it a quick read, and i noticed that it has no API logo on it... no SL no SM no nothing. i went back and checked all of the bottles, single quart and jugs... none of them had any API logo on them. but the odd thing is that all th other generic canadian tire oils did have API SM on them... even the cheap nugold brand had it. the regular motomaster line had it too. and even the rest of the formula1 line had it... the dino and the synth.
so WHY didn't the High Mileage version carry an API logo? i aborted mission and didn't get the oil! i was curious to try it, cuz i know all of the motomaster oils are shell oils. so this would pretty much be the shell High Mileage oil. right?
