Does anyone have a favorite mosquito spray? I'm just referring to the stuff you spray on your skin, not the table top stuff.
I bought a can of OFF, and it smells the same as it did 30 years ago, but has the word " Active" on it and says its good for 5 hours. It also has a logo for " truecover technology"

In the past I have also used Deep Woods Off which was marketed to be a stronger recipe.

Something newer is some recipes claim they can repel ticks.

We had several days of rain and now temperatures in the low 80's. If I stay in the sun, the mosquitoes aren't bad but in the shade they are terrible.

What say Bittogers?

Get the kind with picaridin. Works, doesn't destroy plastic stuff and probably won't kill you right away.

PS Buggers were thick on the coast last week. This year pretty light at our house but I have three traps and a zapper. Work good.........but I love HATE emptying them out.....

picaridin is IMO safer than deet, doesnt melt plastic or destroy fishing line, and does supposedly work on ticks

best place to buy is walmart in their fishing section, $4.97

I have not found anything that works on South Carolina swamp mosquitos better than Deet.

Permethrin soaked into clothing does help as well.

The higher the percentage the better. Repel or Cutter mostly here. OFF is selling its brand name and nothing more.

Fun fact - Malaria killed as many Red Coats in the South Carolina campaigns as did the patriots. The South Carolina swamp mosquito is a national hero.
