Even on V6 engines which previously had an abnormal oil consumption problem. We've also noticed a measurable fuel mileage increase!

FWIW, I'm a career Audi dealership employee and I'm fully aware of VWaG's position on the use of oil additives in their engines. Two of my coworkers also drive high-mileage 2.8 V6s and both of them bought LM MoS2 after hearing about my experience...their results have been remarkably similar. Quite frankly, if I were permitted to recommend this product to my clients...I would.

Great info, I'm a big fan of the product. But when you mention increased mpg be careful, that usually gets people up in arms, after all how can it be? LOL Thanks for posting!

Thanx, demarpaint. I honestly didn't intend to imply personal improvements in fuel economy because I've probably spent more time in the "upper" RPM range since using this stuff. I suppose we must consider that Blauparts.com is trying to sell us something.

^^speedy^^ I honestly believe some claims for increased mpg, I really do. I also have seen first hand how the product reduced oil use, and smoothed out the idle of a beater. The $4 and some change for it is well worth it IMO.

Yes they are the same, Part number LM2007 IIRC. With a 6.5qt capacity, add the whole bottle. On the can, it mentions that it will treat up to 6qts of oil, so you're good.

My oil now is 200 miles old, should I drain out a bit and add this stuff to it ? thanks

thanks man, I just find out about this product, and seem alot peoples like it. Imma do some research on it, but how long this stuff can run in your engine ? like what most miles peoples run on this stuff.

Use it for the full oil change interval any time you add it, it's a small enough amount that whatever oil carrier it's blended into(if thats even the case?) won't be enough to affect your OCIs negatively, IMO. In fact, if it truly reduces friction one could argue it 'may' help some apps extend their OCI.

Yes, just add the entire can at an oil change or...now, to the vehicle you describe and give it about 500-1,000 miles to feel a definite difference(or not). Add it after you've gotten the engine up to temp by the way, shut the engine off and pour it in. Afterward, immediately start it up again and go for a drive.

My jeep 4.0l require some extra zddp, I cant find the product sheet for this product yet ( still google ) just wonder it have any zddp on it. is this product can help clean engine and quiet down lifter ?

I call napa this morning and they order one for me from ware house, and should already come in, imma call them and see if it come yet.

Yes, Lubro Moly IS the Liqui Moly brand, they just can't use Liqui Moly name in the USA due to another brand having that already. This was before it became marketed in the US(Liqui Moly is a European brand, German I believe) thus is sold as Lubro Moly in the USA.

...anyway, noisy lifter? You may want to try something to clean the top-end or perhaps a product to flush 'at idle' for starters. If that doesn't help, something else to clean it up 'gently' during the course of an OCI would be another option. This is, of course, unless the noisy lifter is functioning like 'normal', compared to other jeeps.

PS: I don't think MoS2 has any zddp in it's formulation, but if it's zddp you need I believe STP Oil Treatment can boost it's levels. Not sure though, perhaps someone else can comment on that, or you can search the site for zddp treatment.

I think I should run a engine clean phase first, Since I dont know history of the jeep. after 3k or so I try add mso2 in.

Im plan running 1 clean phase 1 quart MMO and 5 quart T5 and run for 3k or 6 month for clean phase, then run 6 quart T5 and add Lubro moly MOS2.

^Sounds like a nice plan. Think of using a top-end cleaner or idle flush before oil change?

Examples of top-end cleaner: Amsoil Power Foam, Mopar Combustion Chamber Cleaner, GM's version etc.

Examples of idle flush before drain: Amsoil Engine Flush, Lubro Moly PRO LINE Engine Flush, etc.

Read up, look on YouTube for some fun videos of the Power Foam or Mopar CCC. If you have a MAF sensor, probably best to try an 'at idle' flush first, since it's hard to use a top-end cleaner since it needs spraying in while the vehicle is at idle...have you considered pulling a cover to look at the valve-train area?

*EDIT: I just saw your other thread about quieting down the lifter, if you do need zddp, try that first instead of tackling the 'larger' task of engine cleaning.

I add the redline zddp, and it quiet down alot. running smooth then first when I bought it.

I'm almost 2k miles in on my 2nd OCI w/LM MoS2 & Syntec 5W40...zero consumption. The cam-chain tensioners are almost silent and upper RPM range continues to be 'music to my ears'.

You can buy a bottle of zinc zddp saw it at a local oreillys here. Lucas is a great oil treatment no matter what anyone on this website says or tells you.
