Do you have data to support this ?

MoS2, molybdenum disulfide is found in all energy-conserving oils for those reasons listed in your link.

Molybdenum dithiocarbamate or soluble moly is used in modern motor oils.

last question, since I just bought a can off napa and need wait about another 6 month til I can use the MOS2.

My little brother came home for the weekend from college, I just change his oil 3 week ago and 100 miles, 4.5 quart honda accord 2.2L 1996 mobil super 5000, should I add him the can MOS2.

You sure can! You will be over the full mark though, that might bother you. You could always drain off a little oil before adding it.

I check oil before I add, it right on the full mark, add can of MOS2 10oz, I guest it wont hurt a thing.

I've filled my 4.5 qt Aerostar with 5 qts of oil many times. In fact the only time I add 4.5 qts to it is when I change the oil and I have an open qt with 1/2 a qt of oil in it. I wouldn't sweat it, but some people do.

#132 not worth it and wrong to call it a moly

Tommy looking at that report I have to agree with you. IIRC there was more to it than that, something to do with the base composition that is not reflected in the UOA. But I could be wrong! I looked into #132 years ago when I first bought it.

BTW we survived the storm here, thank God no damage! It was more hype than anything else, at least in my neck of the woods.

Good for you, lots of people lost power and had downed trees around here.

The Delaware has not crested yet, And probably will not.

The more I read, peoples using full can for first oil change and half can on next oil change. Since this stuff still stick to engine, after you drain all old oil out. Is this good method or still add full can ?

I would personally do one can the first OCI, then half after that. Although, I suppose w/ a 6.5qt sump, you could go either way.

Who here using full can first oil change and half can on next oil change ?

is napa sell liqui moly engine flush ?
