More scary tires. This time on a newer AMG C63.

If you get two sets, summer and winter cost is of double importance.
Performance (and definitely durability with 2x rubber) will be higher then most Allseason/allweather anyway.
Well yes, I run two sets on all my vehicles. Not saying cost isn't important, that, ride quality, and the fact they lasted 5 minutes was the reason I didn't go with the OE Pirelli run flats on the Jeep. But when the cost is reasonably close between say a top tier Michelin, Conti or Pirelli and somebody chooses the more "BFG" calibre tire on an expensive vehicle, I'm just curious as to the reasoning. Not being combative, actually interested in learning here.

Look at some test results before buying and you'll more then likely find something middle of the pack for a decent price.
Nitpicking by brand is meh.

No it is not. Premium brands keep initial performance far longer. Tests are a OK as some kind of guide. But tire is much more than that, especially on high performance vehicles.
But, keep looking for confirmation bias. Someone will eventually stop by.

Anyone who has run out a set of Michelin tires can attest to their maintaining their performance over the years and miles.
This is the reason that I've returned to expensive Michelin tires.
They just flat work and they also last.
I'd be happy to pay less for tires and have tried. You do get what you pay for.

You got anything that can back up that claim other then Michelin propaganda? Preferably something not older then 4-5years.
Consumer Reports had done testing and someone posted it here.
Also, i worked as test driver, car journalist and had so far between summer, winter and track tires, probably some 150 sets. Yes I drove on Kumho, Hamkook, Sava, Debica, Tigar, Matador, Kleber, Falken etc.
And no, you won’t find anything in my garage but Michelin, Pirelli, Continental or Bridgestone. GY, if in Europe.
Yes, I will occasionally satisfy my curiosity around some brand that is “currently best thing after sliced brea,” like let’s say Nokian.

But, keep fishing. Someone will come.
