Really hoping for the Sport version to have my desired size.
On sale in July.
Why would you go CC2 in any part of FL?I got four of my CC 2's warrantied as they had excessive wear after 27,000 miles. Going to Defender 2's now.
They're very popular down here as rainy season gets nasty. Why would you go CC2 in any part of FL?
Go Pilot A/S4.
Yeah, but they will wear out faster and A/S4 is still better in rain. They're very popular down here as rainy season gets nasty.
If its not broken don't fix it. You had a incredible experience with the Cross climate why gamble with the good yearIf they don’t: I’m going with the GY Weather Ready 2.
I currently have the CC2 on my Toyota. They are the best tires I’ve ever driven on (especially here in Michigan).
I’ll likely need a new set by fall/winter time 2025.
I never had a great experience with with any Good Year tiresThe new Goodyear is supposedly quieter than the Michelin. That alone would make me choose it over the Michelin. If the Michelin CC3 or whatever replaces the CC2 comes out and is better than the Goodyear, I'd go for that. I'm not brand biased.
....Yes – the CrossClimate 3 has been developed with electric vehicles in mind:
- Low rolling resistance helps maximise battery range
- Piano Acoustic Tuning Technology minimises road noise for a quieter ride
- Built to withstand the added weight and torque of EVs, making it a smart choice for modern electric vehicles.....
Mine and my dad's (2019 CRV and 2014 Crosstour respectively) haven't had any decline. Some more info from the article. Will be interesting to see if the CC3 actually has significantly less rolling resistance than the CC2. There are plenty of anecdotal reports of poor fuel mileage after switching to the CC2 tires.
.....All tires in the CrossClimate 3 range are manufactured in Europe at Michelin’s plants in Bad Kreuznach (Germany), Valladolid (Spain), Vitoria (Spain), Nyíregyháza (Hungary), Cuneo (Italy), Olsztyn (Poland) and Pirot (Serbia). The dimensions with the most complex design are manufactured in Roanne (France).....
Cross Contact LX25Live in NC - rarely get snow and if we do, don't go out because there are no plows (CLT area) - would you still go with CC2's or wait for CC3's on AWD Acura MDX ?
If not, what would be your go to tire....265x45x20's.
I’ve recommended CC2s to 3 people recently, who all had them installed. One was a Rav4H, which would be sensitive to tire resistance. For the first few weeks, the rav4H owner was a bit shocked and told me she lost 3-4 mpg. However by 1000 miles on the, she told me it was back to normal. Some more info from the article. I lived just outside of Buffalo in the mid 90s and had Aquatreds on my K-car, that car would go through the worst snow without any issues whatsoever.actually it could be argued that the Michelin is a clone of the much earlier Goodyear Aquatred tire... https://www.vintagepaperads.com/assets/images/BZ0270.jpg
