Apparently people who insist on facts really give you the heebie-jeebies.

I'm too old to get the heebie-jeebies. This is not that high on my life's list of priorities.

Then you should be old enough to know the difference between an opinion and a fact.

I'll keep my opinion to myself.

Now fact is this one of the worst cases of denial I have ever been a witness to.

If you do it will be a unique experience both for you and those who read you.

There is nothing to deny as there are no facts in evidence.

Every bottle that has the API starburst on it is their statement it does.

ExxonMobil has API, Honda, Ford, ACEA and Chrysler certifications on the Mobil 1 5w30 bottle. The fact that the API cert is on the bottle means it does. It also means that those automotive companies TESTED that oil and it PASSED their tests.......

Sure, when your the big dog, you sit on the API board(which is a self reporting entity) and you pay to be the factory fill and to get M1 oil caps on vehicles you have an arrangement made in heaven. When you are the enforcer and the reporter what teeth are there? They pick on the smaller blenders from time to time(less of a contributer?) in an attempt to gain some credibility perhaps??

(I must disclaim that my employer is a member of API and I use API guidelines and documents all the time in my work)
They do much more than simple engine oil certifications.

Correct. That is all they have to do and it's taken them what...5 + months? Nothing. If they do decide to respond, who will believe them at this point?

Apparently they aren't too interested in kowtowing to you, to Ashland, or to anyone else who has a burr under his saddle.

That's the difference between a Ma and Pa operation and a publicly held multi-national multi-billion dollar company.

I guess that's why they're making billions and you're sitting at your computer.

Yep all the more reason to buy from Amsoil, Redline, Schaeffer's etc.

Certainly.

Their ExxonMobil base stocks and blend stocks, and their Infineum additives, make all the difference in the world.

...and Lubrizol, Ethyl among others.

I believe Lubrizol more than others from what Tooslick has said in the past. I'm sure it varies.
