Hello fellow tribologists. I was wondering if anyone has had experiences(either good or bad) with mobil 1000 dino? It was on sale at the local Canadian Tire so I bought a jug for my latest change.Grade was 10w30. Owners manual says 10w30 ok for O deg.F.and above.Driving a 2009 Accent 1.6l. The engine is noticeably quieter with this grade than the 5w20. Thanks for your input.

First, Mobil 1000? lol. here we only have Mobil 5000.....stated "guaranteed" to go 5000 miles.....

Secondly, why the jump from 5W-20, to 10w30....? That's a big jump....since it is still winter, I'd personally stay with the 5W-20 or 5w30 for "winter".....come April/May/June, then go ahead and change it to the 10w30.....

Now if you were referring to the Mobil "5000" - yes, that is a great oil.......check the search function

If you really meant "Mobil 1000" - then sorry, no idea :P But my recommendation still stands

I've used it with success in the past. It's usually the cheapest oil if one cannot find a sale (i.e. at places like the Wholesale Club, it's always very attractively priced).
