Mobil 1 vs PP ?

Tough one but I think PP is ever bit as good and maybe better in some grades than M1. Both are excellent.

depends on the engine and what the company bean counters decide to do.

both companies have lowered their standards to make the bean counters numbers

Mobil 1 used to have a high dose of expensive PAO

PP used to use an exotic base oil

why you messing with these two second class oils when you have Esso 0w20 avail up there in oil elixir land where they still brew top gun oils

I dunno if they are the exact same, but they are definitely under the same parent company.

Esso oils are brewed in their Sarnia, Ontario lubes operation as far as I know. Mobil1 of course is brewed in the US. I would not assume these are the same product with different packaging just because they have the same parent company.

I prefer Pennzoil Platinum but I have nothing against Mobil 1. Just a personal preference and I also like the fact that I don't pay as much for the Platinum.
