Mercedes diesel owners should be using an oil which meets either the 229.3 or 229.5 spec, which are the Mercedes extended drain specs for BOTH gasoline and diesel engines. Currently, the only Mobil 1 sold in the US that meets these specs is the 0w40.

Honestly, George...your off the cuff (and off the wall) statements really make me wonder.
