Interesting to note: High Boron, Excellent Flashpoint...Low Magnesium though! Comments on Oxidation and Nitration?

It just occurred to me...This oil (even its viscosity range) is targeted to European vehicles. It has German automaker approvals from Porsche, MB and VW. If I remember correctly, it is illegal in Germany to label an oil as synthetic if it contains Group III base oils. This would leave Groups 4 and 5 to market an oil as 100% synthetic. The Germans - don't mess with their beer or their engine oil - they have to be pure. So that might explain partially why the base oils in ESP 0W-30 probably consist of primarily Groups 4 and 5 base oils.
Perhaps someone that understands current German laws can correct me if I am wrong.
What specifically gets you excited?Looking at the VOA makes me excited to try this oil out on my next oil change in my Fiesta ST.
Not anything to do with the VOA, but it’s good to see the numbers. I haven’t used a high end euro spec oil in my fiesta ST yet and I’ve heard only great things about this oil. I’ve been using the black bottle Castrol edge 5w30.What specifically gets you excited?
Viscosity can vary from one batch to the next. Also, Blackstone is terrible for accuracyThe viscosity is low at 11.?? Previous reports including Mobil 1 data sheet it’s 12.2 @100c
0ppm chromium got me just rockin this morningWhat specifically gets you excited?
No. Passes all SQ engine performance tests including LSPI.Is that Calcium level too high for a small turbocharged engine?
The boron is probably a borate ester, which is also showing up in the high oxidation.View attachment 323653

I was too worried about that a month or 2 ago when changing the oil in my 2.7 Silverado and went with the ESP 5w30.No. Passes all SQ engine performance tests including LSPI.
