Mobil 1 "Advanced Clean" 5w-30

Someone will correct me if I wrong. I don’t believe PAO is used for cleaning. Usually AN’s or Esters are the big cleaners(high solvency).
I meant that EP's claims haven't changed a bit despite whatever change they did in the chemistry. Infact it has increased to 20,000 miles now, the old bottles said 15,000. I still trust Mobil though, they don't make bogus claims.

As noted, sludge isn’t the same as varnish or piston deposits.
Other than dissecting the engine, is there any way to tell if pistons have deposits? My engine is over 200,000 miles now. I did the usual stuff like investigating the used oil filter but it was very clean, even under microscope. The dipstick is super clean, power and gas mileage haven't changed and I have never noticed any moisture builduo because I drive so much

buildup not builduo. LOL The Dipstick being clean is a good sign!

If you don't have oil consumption, then the deposits aren't really an issue.

I missed that video by Lake. Do you recall the title?

I had warched this video but couldn't recall the EP part. Thanks.
It shows that Mobil is a great company. No bogus claims and marketing, those oils are really different. This new R&P competitor will be different too.

Before we get all excited, could this just be a re-branding of ‘regular’ Mobil 1 for API SQ/GF-7 oils, and is not a new product???

I was honestly surprised how good Truck and SUV did. For years I thought it was just marketing for a tad higher viscosity. Who knew how shear stable it was!!
