It did the job in my both neglected turbo charged Swedish engine - even better, like Shell Helix Ultra. Amazing!

Does anyone know if the Mobil Super range of oils have the same cleaning abilities?

According to the below chart, it does not.

Interesting, M1 HM has the weakest startup protection of all M1 versions. Would have thought the opposite with all the HM bells and whistles..

The line is slightly different in Europe. Even in Canada, we get a bit of an oddball, a Mobil Super version in 5w-40 that is LL-01, but bulk sizes only.

Possibly because most HM oils are formulated on a thicker side of things (in general), so they don't flow as well on cold starts.

It shouldn't be dirty to begin with running the M1 oil.

"Higher base oil viscosity to help reduce leaks and provide better high-temperature protection"

Similar tiering to here, except the Mobil Super 2000 is all positioned as high mileage stuff, and the Mobil Super 3000 is in quantities only a shop would purchase.

I think the cleaning ability depends on both the motor design and oil used as well as reasonable OCI and other maintenance items like PCV valves.

And heat. Short trippers never clean up.

Don't know that I would put a lot of credence in the marketing chart provided.

It would be better to compare the add packs for the various offerings and see if indeed there is substantially more cleaning stuff in the bottles.
