mmo then arx?

so i've got some mmo in my trunk and arx...
I was wondering if it would be okay to add mmo to the end of this OCI (roughly 900 miles left) and then add the arx in the next oci?

I would run the ARX for 5,000 miles, then in the rinse phase replace a quart with MMO and run it for 10,000 miles.

These threads seem to end up getting locked lately, he is my opinion having used both products. I'd use one or the other not both at the same time. I prefer MMO for cleaning, now that I've had plenty of time to base my opinion.

If you want to use both products this is how I would do it. Since you have 900 miles left to this OCI add a pint of MMO. Then run the A-Rx clean phase for 5000 miles using dino oil as they suggest. When you do the rinse phase run a pint of MMO for the last 1000 miles of that phase. Use dino oil again. IMO you have a better shot of cleaning up varnish this way, and really disolving sludge. This also seems to be the opinion of many others.

My intention was not to start a flame war. So guys this person asked a question, I've used both products and offered my opinion. Take it for what its worth please, and with an open mind!

Sounds like a plan to me. Add the MMO now for the last 1000 miles then do the ARX treatment. I have been doing both at the same time, but I have an clogged oil pick-up screen I'm trying to fix before it hurts my engine.

Interesting, I have completed 3 RX treatments and now about 12,000 miles later i am running a quart of MMO in my oil. Just wondering if a different chemistry will clean things up a bit more.

If it makes you feel better, run the AutoRx first since it probably going to do the most work with one treatment. Then run the MMO every other OCI.

I have started our new Sentra on a MMO supplement since we plan on keeping it for a long time. I figure every three OCI's, I'll substitute a quart of MMO.

That will work fine. If it works out that one of those 3 OCI's falls just before winter time add the MMO then. You get the cleaning and aid in cold starts.

well i went ahead an put 16oz of mmo in the crankcase... car appears to be running better. also doing the mmo in the gas tank too... mmo is like the ultimate multipurpose tool...
