Mixing different fuel additives?

Anyone know of any studies of whether or not mixing different additives matters? I figure most are PEA these days, but I was under the impression that they're carefully formulated and that maybe adding A and then B might not be the equivalent of double the treat rate of A or B. I was just thinking of what this might mean if I'm using a basic fuel with around the minimum required detergent additive, and then I toss in something like a maintenance amount of Red Line SI-1.

Of course one of the megadoses of PEA treatments like Techron Concentrate or a full bottle of Red Line SI-1 and you're probably not too worried about the amount of additives in the pump fuel.

I see no need to mix and also they suggest some cleaner every oil change, not every fill up. Most cleaners are not PEA. The good ones are however.

How about one strong PEA cleaner maybe once a year?
I doubt that these things are all that finely balanced chemically that mixing would cause problems.
Since PEA is what cleans, the rest is just filler.

I was also thinking more in the line of mixing two different brands of fuel with different additive packs. I often fill up when I already have half a tank. I was curious as to whether the PEA that's in most fuel is compatible to the point where there's likely a linear effect with regards to detergent performance.

Car Talk used to air a short segment where they talked about adding Mobil and She'll gas and the result was "Shmell".

I once made a cocktail of:
3 cans B12 Chemtool
2 bottles of 20oz Techron+

All of this in 5 gallons of gas
Safe to say, clogged injectors wasn't the cause of my drivability problem.......
