I have 2 quarts of Castrol Synthetic ATF. I was thinking of adding them to my transmission. I've been using Mobil 1 ATF for the longest. I usually drain and fill my transmission fluid 1-2x a year, so at this point, it is likely all Mobil 1 ATF. Would people not recommend mixing or would this be fine?

Most people only change out the filter and replace the oil 1x 2x in lifetime (if that)!!

If they are made for the same spec, you should have no trouble.
How many miles on your car that you changed your differential gear oil twice??
I think you'll be fine mixing those ATF's. If they are differant spec's I would mix them is lower ratio's until you get the Castrol used up if you have a small sump. The larger the sump the higher the ratio can be without causing a problem. However, same spec. go for it.
