I want to upgrade the OE rubber (Bridgestone Ecopias) on my 2023 Escape ST with 19" rims. I've had CrossClimates before was satisfied. However I've noticed the Pilots and the do come in my size. Winter here in Atlanta can be fairly mild and we don't get that much really cold weather. What's folks thoughts on the question? Thanks

The Pilot Sport 4 SUV is a summer only tire, so between the two, get the CC2, especially if you already like them :)

Will you still need to drive the car in the cold/snow? Do you work remotely or would otherwise be able to stay in and not need to use the car when it's under 40 degrees? You shouldn't use summer tires under 40F.

You'd probably be good with the Pilot Sport All Season 4 (PSAS4), which is not the same as the PS4SUV or the PS4S :sneaky:

I run the Pilot Sport 4S summer tires on our GS350 Sport. Great rubber, but they are, of course, a soft compound.
I put the Pilot AS on our '06 TSX; love those tires. The GS will get them next time.

My guess is, the difference is only at the extremes, which you probably don't experience in your Escape.

Thanks all. No Pete, the car needs to be available no matter the weather. The car looks great, inside and out. The one thing that distracts are the tires. There's "no fizz". On my old Mariner with nice wheels, both the CrossClimates and Scorpion Verdes they looked great

Or the bridgestones as bad as people say they are?

Driving on snow with summers is not a big problem, I've done it a couple times. Normal here when everyone switches from summer to winter every year.
Stopping is the problem .

Why not normal A/S tires? CC2 seems like overkill looking at average snowfall and temps for Atlanta.

Those are 2 strange tires to compare.

The Escape ST came with ecopias??? o_Oo_Oo_Oo_O

What are you looking for in a new tire? Although anything will probably be a hit in MPG.. some more than others.

I'd be looking at tires such as pirelli scorpion AS 3 plus or Continental lx25
if you want sportier than that.. give us some priorities as far as what you want from tires.
CC2 are great but very much a do everything compromise.

This. The little amount the vehicle is going to see of snow in ATL is not really worth going to CC2s. Look at the AS3+ or LX25. Or even Defenders.

Why would anyone bother running a summer performance tire to street drive a C/SUV? I'd get an all season. Look at the PSAS4...hard to believe anyone would outdrive that tire in a vehicle like this on a public road. CC2 would be fine too.

I'll take a look at the Pirellis and Continentals. I had a set of Scorpion Verde all seasons on my old Mariner and they were good. Continental come with a free, first year road hazard policy and that paid off a couple of times on my wife's car
