Buddy of mine recently sold his Mercedes G500, as he was going overseas. He gave me 20 liters of Genuine Mercedes-Benz ATF, meeting Sheet 722.6. I'm wondering if I can use this fluid in a Ford 4R70W requiring Mercon V? Thanks!

Are you sure on that Sheet number? 722.6 is the trans, 5 speed, that was (and still is) in use from the late 90s...also known as the NAG. Fluid required is close to a DEX III (current sheet is 236.14, I think, and I don't know what it's close to...I think you're referring to an earlier sheet)...I absolutely would NOT put this fluid in a Mercon V transmission..

More detail, once you take a close look at the bottle itself: http://bevo.mercedes-benz.com/bevolistenmain.php?entercustomer=true&language_id=1

Astro, you are absolutely correct. Sorry, I put the A/T model instead of the sheet number.

The part number on the bottle is A0019896803. The specification listed is 236.14. It also says ATF 134 on the bottle.

ATF-134 is the latest ATF for the 7-speed, it is backward compatible with previous ATF for 5-speed transmission 722.6. I have Shell ATF-134 in my E430 now.
