I think you have all your posts mixed up, and out of context.
I am the one who said that Mazda most likely puts the auto into the concept car IF it has a drivetrain.
The reason why to put an auto into this concept car is to PREVENT a video of the car stalling from being recorded, as would be possible if it was being driven if it had a manual transmission.
Since we know rotary powered vehicles don't like short periods of running, and being flooded (I have owned an RX-8, I know it's shortcomings in this regard), a concept car with an auto would be the easiest way to move it around without risking the car stalling, and flooding, and then having video of it being posted on youtube later.
Nothing I said had anything to do with Mazda's autos being inferior to their manuals.
I know first hand, I own a 2014 CX-5 with the 6 speed auto, and it's fantastic.
My 2011 RX-8 had a 6 speed manual transmission, and it also was fantastic.
