New 2024 Mazda CX-5. 2400 miles.

A little weirded out that the manual says 4.8 quarts with new filter and I put in a full 5 quarts and only half way up dip stick. Evidently, that’s normal. Still odd. Never had that before.

Filter looks good.

Filter looks good. I'd let the Mazda set on even ground overnight & double check the level unless that's what you've done already.

Filter looks good, unique looking bypass valve. The Youtube Subydude mech would gush over this filter. Dude loves Tokyo Roki filters.

Congrats on the new ride. Thanks for c&p.

Having a 2.5l Mazda in the fleet I pour in 5 qt’s and call it a day it’s always midway on the stick overnight.

HI all, yes, OEM filter that came on the car from factory. A new OEM of same part number went back on with Castrol Edge 0W-20.

I wound up adding .2 quarts to bring it just below the max mark.

REally nice filter. No anti-drainback valve. Interesting.

So, I assume factory installed filter? Looks great (as well it should only 2400 miles old).
How did the oil inside of the can look?
Pretty clean. Car has 2400 miles on it. Very little "glittery" sparkles from metal. I'm used to seeing more than that on the first oil change in a new car. Oil was still gold tinted.
