This came from another thread but I thought that it might work better as its own. I just reached out to Mann+Hummel to see if they had any updated ISO filtration efficiency test results for Purolator filters:

"Hello,

Can you please provide me with the most recent ISO filtration efficiency test results or specification sheets for your Purolator line of oil filters (Purolator, PurolatorONE, PurolatorBOSS, Purolator 20K)?

Thank you."

And this is what I got back

"No sir, we cannot. The only information available is what is listed on our website. www.purolatornow.com

Thank you,

Mann+Hummel Product Information

Product Information (800) 526-4250)"

So that doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. I will be avoiding any M+H filters for a while.

Yeah there have been three or four reports so far that the efficiency data is no longer available. Even our local insider hasn’t posted any recently.

Literally a similar response from what I got emailing them in regards to the Purolator 20K

I asked Micron rating and there response was the information available is on their website.

Terrible response and I will not purchase their products as a result.

So all we got is 99% at unknown microns, my guess it is not great and that is why they don't list it.

Why would anyone consider using MANN/HUMMEL on vehicle they care about?

I’m just dumbfounded

At this point I am seriously considering only buying Denso filters from Rock Auto for all of my cars. I feel like that is the only part manufacturer that has never screwed me with a bad product or done something stupid at the corporate level.

But they're the world experts in filtration? Says so in their press release.

So, lets blindly jump off the cliff.

ALL signs point to Premium Guard.....
Maybe the world experts in the best flowing filters when they tear and have a 45-50 micron rating that some old reports on here show.

Does it really matter ? Toyota filters are rock catchers , vehicles last longer than the average .
Some consumers still buy Stalantis products with their hard earned money , no oil filter made are going to help those engines .
There's only one thing I hate more than lying; skim milk, which is water that's lying about being milk.

A member here reached out to Purolator’s president because the efficiency claims weren’t adding up on the spec sheets vs online. Needless to say the website has been updated, no more spec sheets, and efficiencies are worse. M+H had been advertising much better efficiencies than reality for years.

If the old spec sheets are to be believed then I suppose the ONE line is worthwhile at or around 99% at 17 microns depending on the size... provided that they don't tear the way that they used to.

I believe the One was downgraded to around 99%@30

The president of M+H put an order out to not release filter Spec Sheets to the public anymore after BITOG called them out on the discrepancy between the Spec Sheets (which the Pres of M+H said were true) to the info on Purolator's website. The efficiency now shown on Purolator's website for the Boss is 99% >46u now to reflect the Spec Sheet. Pres of M+H said "No more Spec Sheets for you!".

If I ran any kind of company that made car parts there would be a big red light that turned on whenever a BITOG thread was made with our name in it.

Good on the forum.
