Good Day BITOGERS 🇺🇸🇨🇦

Filter off 2023 VW Taos SUV with 1.5 engine. Reason it got a PM was last oil change shop put 6 quarts 0w20 in 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Drained whatever “0w20” they used and put Castrol Pro 0w20 meeting VW spec. And a black can SL 7503 in and on. Damage or bent pleats is from me as only one metal endcap. Looks like it held up for I’m betting under 1,xxx miles. 30k on vehicle.element I had to twist and pull to remove.

Where do you get the Castrol? Castrol seems to be available in 5l jugs but any price I see is like 30% more than buying the single Mobil quarts from the dealer or from AutoZone on sale.

Interesting design. Looks like the type where each pleat end is bonded (ie, like a Denso). Only one "end cap" because that one has the bypass valve in it, and also seals off the center tube. Other end at the base just has the ADBV between the element and base plate ... doesn't need an end cap because each pleat end is sealed. Nice green silicone ADBV.

I can do burn test just for you Zee 🙊🙊

What I’m intrigued is box says “WIX SL 7503” but can just says MANN/HUMMEL

Another thing to add: seeing these vehicles spec’ ing 7503 coming back for service with either Purolator 10241 or Fram 3614🤔🤔
