Mann antimicrobial carbon/polyphenol filter

I've decided to an engine air filter change interval of 15k instead of 30k, and to swap out cabin filter at the same interval.

Any opinions? I'm about to buy another filter, and I'm wondering if I should stick with activated carbon or give this a try. The antimicrobial activity is supposed to be achieved with polyphenol.

I'm leaning slightly toward the nonsense side as well.

even carbon filters might be nonsense, or at least very expensive. they have less pleats and definitely less flow. Don't expect them to last the same as a regular cabin filter. But they do make sense if the regular filters are prone to distorting, as they're much more solid.

I guess if you've got a tendency to get smells from the AC, they could help (the polyphenol filter). Worth a try in that case.
