Wondering if WIX still makes these filters for CarQuest? Based on limited finds online it seems like maybe they are the provider for CarQuest, but can't seem to find much that is recent. I did come across that WIX was bought by MANN and based on WIX's website that's true as I see the MANN logo there.

I ask because I bought a couple of these Premium 94024 filters and they look and feel identical to the MANN HU-6002-z filters I've been using for my VWs. While the WIX one I find has plastic ends, this one does not, like the MANN, so I think I managed to save a couple bucks per filter here. They are stamped ‘Made in Mexico 191130" but that's the only marking on them anywhere. I'm thinking it's the identical MANN filter I've been buying, just not stamped with the MANN logo.

Supposedly CQ filters are made by Purolator, but recently I got one for a Fiat Abarth and it was made in South Korea which definitely not Fayetteville, NC (Purolator factory). So, I think they divvy out the jobs to who can make the filters the cheapest depending on make/model. But that's just my .02.

Many oil brands have changed houses recently. So depending on the store and it's inventory turnover, both old style and new are often still present on store shelves.
The newest Carquests are Purolators. One is red and the other blue. If you scroll down the Threads list of topics, there is some mention there.
