Man rear-ends a car, then shoots the driver!

Police said that the father was driving with his 7- and 4-year-old daughters around 9:30 p.m. when their white sedan was rear-ended by a late-model Cadillac, near Bragg Boulevard and William Clark Road. The driver of the Cadillac walked up to their car and opened fire, striking the father and 7-year-old several times. The 4-year-old girl was unharmed.

The father and daughters ran into a nearby Popeye's Chicken and Biscuits restaurant for help, police said. They were taken to Cape Fear Valley Hospital, but their conditions were not released.

Witnesses said that the gunman tried to hijack a car in the restaurant parking lot, but police said they haven't been able to verify that information. They arrested a suspect who was fleeing from the scene on foot.

Police declined to release the suspect's identity amid the ongoing investigation.

This happened to someone in rush hour on a crowded two lane road here locally, but was a gang related thing. They ram the guy in front, and once he gets out to check, they shoot him. Sounds like gang initiation gone even dumber.

I remember seeing a movie on DVD with Andy Garcia, taking dramatic acting lessons surreptitiously (can't remember the name "City something or other"). Andy, the prison guard, rear ends the car in front, gets out and starts giving the third degree to other guy. It is funny in the movie but not so in real life.
