Now that mainstream vehicle brands offer EVs, people are liking them much more than the kit cars from Tesla.

I'm not surprised. A few years ago it was reported that 14 percent of Teslas coming off the assembly line needed rework in paint and mechanics issues vs 7 percent that was the average. The Cybertruck has so many problems it's just crazy. I hear it's a conspiracy but Tesla customers over and over have had to reach put to musk to get issues resolved which is nuts.

The owners I know absolutely adore the car. The only complaint I have heard is dealing with charging on long road trips.

Investors have really bid Tesla stock up based on their P/E ratio-looks like their stock still has a decent amount to fall to get to a realistic price. Tesla earnings 1/5 of Toyota, but valued almost THREE TIMES as much?? Right…

I worked for a Fortune 500 company that had factories in the US, all over Europe, China and Australia. I distinctly remember the dot-com boom when Pajamas.com had a higher stock market value than our company. Logic and performance eventually win out.

What poor ergonomics? To be fair I’ve only driven the Model S and Model 3 and I found both to have good driving positions and excellent visibility.

It's the abysmal quality, leaky cars, wind noise, broken parts, etc. The sound system, NAV, and NACS are literally the only selling points. My computer bests it in 2 out of 3 of those, lol!

I agree, and my posts have already said this in the past.
I get it. Tesla is a well engineered high-performance product, however to me personally and I’m sure many Americans it has an Econo box look at a luxury car price.
Unlike enthusiast forms such as this mainstream America wants grand looking SUV type products, even if they’re small SUVs. Americans do not have a love affair with four-door sedans.

I’ve always said to me Tesla will have a following just like the Volkswagen beetle did.
Also, I am not knocking the look of the vehicle, I’m just stating the obvious walk into a GM dealership (or any mainstream brand ) and get a glimpse of what America is buying. It is not a car in the shape of a four-door sedan, such as Tesla.

They really need to do something with their model line in order to compete and honestly I don’t think they have the capability to do so at this point

The things you list as positives are what the average person looks for in ergonomics in conjunction with a comfortable seating position which is what I was replying to. I think there are plenty of examples that could fall into a great ergonomics with quality issues.

The charging network crushes all other EV car makers. Driving distances is not optimal in a Tesla. It’s horrible in all other makes. Tesla is helping competition improve by opening access to their network.

Driving distance in all of the more premium EVs (not older Leaf, for example) is fine. Tesla charging network is nothing special, ime. Everywhere I search for nacs, I also find ccs, for example.

Audi, VW, Porsche ev's have repeatedly shown to have better range in the cold than Teslas

This is in-line with my own experiences. I found the e-tron, Mach-e and i4 to be better cars than the Model 3 and Model S.
