Mailed sample still might show up?

I am now getting on to 3 weeks since I had mailed in a used oil sample to Blackstone .

Of course I am still hoping that Customs or whomever will release it and send it along but it isn't looking good (mailed from Canada).

(I sent in a virgin sample 10 days later and I have already received the report!)

I always keep meaning to to do this but from now on I will take two samples and keep one as backup.

Wondering what might be the record for a sample to finally turn up?

Who else has lost for good a mailed in sample?

I just had something lost in the mail recently... no customs involved.

I guess I am thinking that sending a petroleum product my air mail across the border might be slightly more problematic than mailing something else within one's borders.

I had one that took a couple weeks.

Might depend on how you sent it. Did you put the bottle in a box or did you mail the bottle it comes in?

I always put the bottle in one of those small brown bubble cushioned rectangular "envelopes" intended for CDs.

Received the Blackstone Report this afternoon...2.5 weeks after sending the sample by air mail
