Mailed sample still might show up?

I am now getting on to 3 weeks since I had mailed in a used oil sample to Blackstone :(. Of course I am still hoping that Customs or whomever will release it and send it along but it isn't looking good (mailed from Canada). (I sent in a virgin sample 10 days later and I have already received the report!) I always keep meaning to to do this but from now on I will take two samples and keep one as backup. Wondering what might be the record for a sample to finally turn up? Who else has lost for good a mailed in sample?

I guess I am thinking that sending a petroleum product my air mail across the border might be slightly more problematic than mailing something else within one's borders.

I had one that took a couple weeks. Might depend on how you sent it. Did you put the bottle in a box or did you mail the bottle it comes in?
