Mahle OC 614 from Indonesia

Anyone know much about this filter? I believe I grabbed it while ordering parts for a buddy on the Advance website to help get free shipping or something. Only have the one and may use it for the next oil change.

I've read very good things about the Austrian Mahles, but know nothing about those sourced from Indonesia. The OC 614 I have is a black can. Has a sturdy feel to it and it looks to be well made. Just wish I had more of an idea before I put it on my GM 5.3 V8.

Some of the black cans were made in Mexico too.

It looks like the new stock of Mahle OC614 is a grey colored can made by Champ Labs. It's their e-core design. Might as well stick with the ACDelco e-core.
